The son of immigrants, Gene Hageman purchased his first 80 acres of farmland in 1952. That farm, which Hageman still operates, provided a foundation of growth that is still present today. It provided a launching pad for Remington Seeds in 1984, a business that reshaped the U.S. seed corn and seed soybean industry. The success of Remington Seeds allowed for the creation of the Hageman family office and our continued commitment to investment in agriculture, real estate, and entrepreneurship that will continue our family legacy of leaving it better than you found it.

The Beginning

Our family started farming in 1918 and in 1952, Gene Hageman bought his first 80 acres in Benton County, Indiana.

Founding Remington Seeds

In 1984, Remington Seeds was established. Over the next 30 years, it became the largest producer of wholesale seed corn and seed soybeans in the United States.

Expanding Into Real Estate

In 2011, Hageman founded its real estate investment division and built its first project in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Hageman Family Office Created

In 2013, Remington Seeds sold and Hageman moved to the Indianapolis area to establish a family office.

Expanding Opportunities

In 2015, Hageman intentionally started investing in innovative entrepreneurial ventures related to agriculture and real estate.
